So a show we have been dying to do for at least 2 years now is Avatar the last Airbender; "Tea Time With Uncle"
The simple and honest reason it hasn't happened yet?...
$$MONEY$$$... what we plan to do will cost us SO MUCH money and a HUGE cast that this is a animal of it's own and has literally been taking us this long to plan the darn thing out properly!
I am excited to finally say that by the end of Anime Kaigi we WILL be starting to work on this show!!! It should physically be ready to premier Spring/summer 2012.
During the conventions of 2011 we will start promoting the shows needs (which are actors..lots if them.) I anticipate needing 25-30 actors alone and 15 stage hands. This WILL mean that cosplay zone will NOT be comping your badges into the event you perform at as we simply refuse to ask for more then a certain amount of passes into any event and Only give passes to people who are major parts of helping staff or running enough real work to deserve a free pass.
So if you sign on for this show.. expect that you will buy your own badge into whatever con we perform at. (those of you who typically get in free know who you are and I should not have to reconcile you. You get in free because you do the hard real staff labor the others do not. )
Sorry guys you know I love all cosplay zone members and non members but I can't and won't ask any con to freely hand out badges to any of our actors who do nothing but act in one silly event with us. The overall picture for a con is that our "show" is a 1-2 hours EVENT it isn't why people go specifically to their con (well with the exception of a few..) and until THAT does happen.. well you get the idea ^_^ I'm tired and rambling now.
