New play idea!!!

The title is

Ouran high school host club: Shrine maiden switch.

The story goes like this:
It's a normal day at the host club (as far as normal for them anyways) and Tamaki Senpai decided to go with a shinto theme today (Shinto: an ancient religeon in which spirits resides in the earth and such. ) The twins dress Haruhi up as a shrine maiden with her hair in a ponytail (with extentions of course) Haruhi becomes iritated when the twins wont let her change back into her normal clothes and leaves, still dressed as a shrine maiden. While walking home, a girl runs into her, knocking her down and she is also dressed as a shrine maiden (because she really is one) And she is confused to see she looks a lot like her. Without a word, the other girl runs off, leaving Haruhi on the ground as she slowly drifts into unconsiousness. Then some men in suits come and pick her up, thinking she is the shrine maiden that had left. She is taken to a japanese style mansion, only to discover later that it was the mansion of the Kasanoda family. (Lol gangsters. ) It turns out that the girl that had run off was to be Ritsu Kasanod's bride (Though it was arranged, lol.) His father and the girl's grandfather thought that it would be a good idea for them to marry, the young girl being strong enough to fend for herself against other gangsters that might try to kiddnap her and also bring good luck to the Kasanoda family with her 'spiritual' powers. Haruhi having hit her head and now having amnesia thinks she is the real shrine maiden and accepts her fate as Ritsu's bride. Later the members of the host club find the real shrine maiden and think she is Haruhi. She goes with them, curious as to who they were and why they were dressed as shinto priests and such. Later, they recieve and invite to Ritsu's wedding, them being some of his only friends outside the mob. The shrine maiden then realizes what happened and tells them who she really is. The host club then go off to save Haruhi.


I was also thinking of adding a part where Nekozawa tries to sneak up on Tamaki and the shrine maiden thinks he is an evil spirit and uses a holy sutra charm on him, lol.

What do you guys think? Please comment, but don't be too harsh on me, I just thought this up one day while reading a manga.

LOL It sounds fun. It might be hard to pull off on stage but it would make a fantastic fan fic or fun youtube mini show. (where we just video record the whole thing like a little live epsiode and put it on youtube for the heck of it.

I agree with Kadagan. It seems like a cute idea for a fanfiction or possibly some kind of short, but it wouldn't really work for an on-stage production.

There are a few too many scene changes that would end up being much too close together. It also seems like it would run a too long for a stage show.

But like I said, it would make a very cute fanfiction! I definitely suggest writing the whole thing out and letting us see how you think it would go~

But there are really only four different places: The Host club, The street, and then the Kasanoda residence (inside and outside for wedding and first scene). It's a bit complicated, but there isn't going to be a lot of set pieces, during a traditional shinto wedding, the two families are standing and facing each other, so there won't be a need for a lot of chairs for the wedding scene. (Look it up for details. )

I was also thinking that she remembered her past because she hears Tamamki going into a panic attack which he does almost every episode, lol... I'll let you guys know when the script is done so we can let Jeannie, Crystal, and Dianne decide if it is doable as a play... I am keeping those kinds of things in mind when I'm writing this. I have a great idea for the switch for the beginning. We only need four different sets that don't need a lot of furniture. The street part we just need 'wall' to cover the other set as Haruhi is storming off and then bumps into the girl and so on. I was maybe thinking of making a fake fire hydrant for her to bump her head, but the ground would probably work just as well to give her amnesia. Anyways, I'm working hard on the script and I'm sure it would be able to be a full play that Ouran fans will like.

It's not an idea for a fanfiction on youtube. I thought it would be a fun play to do. It wouldn't cost that much because the costumes are easy to make and we already have the uniforms for the ouran members. I'd even make the costumes myself because it's hard to find a pattern for some of them and I'm pretty good at doing the costumes from scratch. Anyways... I'd appreciate it if you guys would at least try to take me seriously. I have it all thought out an everything. I just need to finish the script and then you can see for yourself.... Anyways, thanks for at least acknowledging my thread... I'll be sending a copy of the script to the three leaders once I'm done in order to get their opinion on it.
