Someone certainly wasn't too particularly happy with us. And the sad thing is is that the judges weren't even done when we finished. X.x But so far, in the Feedback section of the AV forum, this is the only thing I've been able to find pertaining to us.
...Laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaame XD

Ok, so that's post number two on the AV feedback forums that said they didn't like us... I'm starting to worry guys. I think they may have disliked the general fact that the judging took almost an hour and a half to do. however, none of them have provided actual feedback on what they didn't like about it. They just said they didn't enjoy it. *Shrug.*

I started up a feedback thread specifically for it, and it's good so far...
I noticed a lot of complaining, but it seemed like this was from people who saw the hour judging time and said "Eff this..." and left.

There are some good things in seth's thread as well as someone posted in the mainfeed back thread that they liked the halftime.

They also said they enjoyed the improv during striking the set, even quoting Dani's "Give it up, Badwuf" line. XD
Don't get discouraged, everyone. We did a great show, and I for one am proud of the job we did. ::hugs::

I pretty much experienced the same thing: There were a few negative comments until last night, but it looks like we've finally got a number of good, positive comments about the halftime show as well.
Remember, people who post on forums are often the (rather vocal) minority of the people who attend the convention. The people that were paying attention noticed that even after the show, the bowing, etc...the MCs STILL had to stall for a few until the judges were ready. Those are the ones that truly understand the intricacies of the behind-the-scenes work at a con.
During the show, we also had screams and shout outs to just about every character on stage. Daisuke, Dark, Satoshi, Krad...just the sheer mention of their names forced everyone to stop for the cheers, applause, and random shout-outs (The one that had me cracking up was "Have my babies Dark"). And there's a difference between an audience clapping (aka polite clapping) and what happened at Vegas. They shouted, they cheered, they b'awwwww'd, they shouting for Dark to prevail in the last fight screen, they gasped in awe when Dark 'lost'...THAT is an actively engaged audience, emotionally invested in the outcome of our performance.
They couldn't have been emotionally invested without each and every one of us, without exception, bringing our best to the table, no matter how crappy we were feeling backstage, how much we ached, or how loopy scene 8 got. When we started the show, some of us were concerned about our lighting situation, or certain stage limitations, or certain things we'd forgotten at home, but we completely rocked that show, and I hope the sounds of the cheering, the yelling, and the rooting don't get lost amidst a few nay-sayers.

If you noticed, it was all one person posting multiple times in the AV forums. We still haven't gotten any other posts telling us about what they like/disliked.
I do agree that we did an amazing job, but the point is not to entertain ourselves, but to provide entertainment to those who attended. While I was very pleased that we got such a great crowd response during the show, I believe we need to know more about their thoughts instead of just their love for the characters they cheered for.
Without the proper feedback, we can't know just how well we did.

I've been keeping a close eye on the forum, and when I saw those comments about us, they hurt a little, even if they were just done by some person who just wanted to complain. I was glad when I looked later on Page 12 (or 13, I don't remember), and saw the comments that someone did like us, and the person beneath them even referred to us by name.
I don't think a lot of people knew that we were stalling for the Judges. And like I said before, we had to stall even MORE because they weren't done, and people were all "Grawr! Dun Care!! BLAH" x.x
I guess there was no way to please that crowd when there were, like, 37 freakin' acts. -_- Bleh.

Guys there is no reason to worry so much, honestly. ^^ Its what two days after the con now? I am alittle worry though if you guys really want to see feed back sometimes its better not to post and not to tell them who you because then they are like "they read this?" o.o And it does turn some people away from posting when they see multiply people from it posting.
People will post when they want. There is no reason to run to worring that they didn't like it because there hasn't actually been a lot of time for them to repond. : P
And there is no reason to freak out guys. ^^

True that, Fishy. I guess just with all the negatives we saw we all got a lil worried that people hated it... but deep down I know that's not true :-) Incidentally... www.examiner.com/modeling-in-las-vegas/scenes-from-the-masquerade-competition-pictureHere's a gallery of some shots from the masq, the last entry is a good Dark/Krad action shot with Argy chained up in the background :-) (I has a new desktop at work now, LOL)

It's always better if you do not give your name or even that you where IN the show or involved with cosplayzone. The simple fact is it haults people from wanting to post. If they know you read the thread then they do not want to post negitive feedback and the only ones brave enough to do so either truly hate it or truly love it. i.e- we loose a lot of other people by the wayside. Often times negitive comments turn into positive ones also, which might make you feel better but in turn many people who change their comments for you are still complaining to someone else and we've made no progress in feedback.
Seth, your post was fine, more less. Argentine - yours was fine. very professional and aside from the fact your avatar name has your characer name no one knows who you are. Well put post. Krads, i did not care for.
BTW this also goes for youtube. have you ever noticed how people do NOT respond or post after everyone goes "Ohh thanks for putting this up I was so and so in the show" It's because they know we are watching they stop posting. Simple.
